Win an HP 2133 mininote PC - we have 10 to give away!
It is undoubtedly the sexiest ultramobile PC to cross the testbench of
APC Labs. It has a sleek aluminium chassis, a keyboard that's 92% full size, a 1,280 x 768 pixel 8.9in screen, an ExpressCard slot for 3G broadband cards, a 160GB hard drive, a weight of just 1.2kg and we want one... drool!
In fact, you might want one too. That's why we have
10 to give away to
APC readers, to celebrate the launch of the new
apcmag.com!
How to win the ULTIMATE ultramobile PC
All you have to do to be in the running to win one of 10 HP 2133s (each worth $999) is to write a review of your PC. It doesn't need to be a current model PC -- you could review anything from a Commodore 64 to a quad-core Core 2 Duo beast as far as we're concerned. The name of the game here is to try your hand at reviewing -- and it won't be hard, because if there's one thing you know back to front as an
APC reader, it's your own computer.
To post your review, create a new thread in our
reader review forum and include your review in it.
Here are some things to think about when reviewing your PC -- you don't need to include them all, they're just some starting points to get you thinking:
- Killer features -- What features of this PC convinced you to buy it?
- Specifications -- What hardware bits make up the package, and what speed and capacity?
- Design -- What's good or bad about its appearance?
- Durability -- Sturdiness of construction and build quality (how well has it stood the test of time? Have any physical problems developed?)
- Usability -- Are all connectors easily accessible? Do you keep accidentally knocking the wireless switch? Does the door of the case keep coming off? Does the notebook roast your legs? Does the keyboard feel spongy? etc.
- Connectors -- What types are included? Are there enough ports and are they all the types you need?
- Performance -- How good is the speed/performance?
- Expandability & accessories -- Does this PC work well with other peripherals? Does the manufacturer offer any special ones?
- Value -- Compared to similar products on sale at the time, was it a bargain, or did you end up feeling you'd paid a bit much?
- Driver support, OS compatibility -- Have you run into the dreaded lack of Vista drivers? Did you have problems getting Linux up and running? Has your Mac had problems with OS X 10.5?
- Service & warranty -- Have you had to get any help from the manufacturer? If so, how did that go?
- Your personal stories/thoughts -- Got an interesting story to add in about how you ended up using this computer?
An extra bonus tip: putting your review in rhyme will definitely not help ;-)
